Steve specializes in business development, market strategy, and commercialization of mass timber and engineered wood products across North American construction markets. With more than 23 years of experience, he brings deep expertise in cross-laminated timber (CLT), glulam, laminated veneer lumber (LVL), and structural wood systems.
His experience includes leading market development and project origination efforts for mass timber systems, working closely with developers, architects, engineers, and contractors to support early design engagement, specification, and commercialization. Steve has played a key role in advancing adoption of mass timber construction by aligning customer needs with manufacturing capabilities and supporting projects from concept through contract execution.
Prior to joining Sterling Structural, Steve served as Business Development Manager for Stora Enso’s North American engineered wood business, where he led market development for CLT, LVL, and glulam across commercial and multifamily sectors. His earlier experience includes roles with International Beams and IB X-Lam, APA – The Engineered Wood Association, Stock Building Supply, 84 Lumber, and Universal Forest Products.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Drexel University and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
