Williston, VT
For the 2025 Paris Airshow, BETA Technologies debuted a modular, mass timber pavilion designed for global transport and quick assembly. Centered around shipping containers, the structure uses a hybrid system of steel and CLT to create a rooftop terrace and immersive display space.
Sterling Structural supplied 3-ply CLT panels for the roof and 5-ply panels for the elevated floor, engineered for cantilevered spans and integrated with steel (by others) to manage uplift and deflection. Close coordination during design allowed for optimization of panel layout, detailing, and connection strategies—delivering a refined, high-performance structure that highlights the versatility of mass timber on an international stage.
